This has been produced to allow many of the recent micro-processor controlled ACTion units to be connected to a receiver which is running from a 5-cell pack or 6v SLA battery. These units can be damaged if run at voltages >6.5v, so P99 will regulate the feed to them at 5v while still permitting full power to the other devices e.g. servos.
